2026 United Way Grant Applications - opening June 2026!
United Way of Howard & Tipton Counties Community Impact Grant (“CIC Grant”) Process is designed to support local programs or projects that work to address specific community needs in the areas of health, education and financial stability. “As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited to renew our commitment to strengthening our community through strategic investments in local nonprofits,” said Morgan Quinn, CEO of United Way of Howard & Tipton Counties. “This grant cycle is a valuable opportunity to support programs that meet critical needs in our community.”

What We’re Looking For: We invite nonprofit organizations serving Howard and Tipton Counties to apply for programs and/or projects that promote the Mission of United Way. This is an incredible opportunity to receive financial support for programs and projects that aim to make a positive impact in our community.
United Way Mission Statement: United Way of Howard and Tipton Counties brings our community together to provide advocacy, service, and giving opportunities to empower all people with health, education, and financial stability.
Grant Details:
Eligibility & Guidelines:
All non-profits serving Howard and/or Tipton Counties are encouraged to apply.
Funding requests for one-day events and/or requests for programs or projects that are completed prior to the announcement of awarded grants will not be considered (September 2026).
Funding requests may NOT exceed 60% of the total cost of the program/project. Request may NOT exceed $20,000.
No partial funding will be awarded.
If grant is awarded, nonprofit organizations are required to provide reports to United Way of Howard and Tipton Counties with updates of the program/project. More details regarding reporting will be included in grant agreements for awarded organizations.
Information sessions were held on May 27, 2026, in Howard & Tipton Counties to provide additional information about the grant process and answer any questions.
Application Process: Visit howardandtiptonunitedway.org on or after June 1st to complete your Letter of Intent. The Letter of Intent will request details of your organization and a summary, total cost & requested funding amount for the program/project. After your Letter of Intent is reviewed, you will be contacted by United Way President & CEO, Morgan Quinn, with next steps.
Letter of Intent: June 1, 2026 – June 10, 2026
Letter of Intent: available on this page beginning June 1st and must be submitted by 11:59pm on June 10, 2026.
Application: June 15, 2026 – July 6, 2026
Application will be sent directly to nonprofits that are eligible after the letter of intent phase and must be submitted by 11:59pm on July 6, 2026.
If your Letter of Intent is not submitted by the June 10th deadline, you will NOT be eligible to apply for a 2026 United Way CIC Grant.
Grants will be awarded September 2026
