United Way of Howard and Tipton Counties partners with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to mail children one free high-quality book each month to nearly 3,000 children in Howard and Tipton Counties. Any child between birth - age five in Howard or Tipton Counties can sign up for this free book gifting program!

Research shows that a child’s brain is 80% developed by age three. Early literacy and access to books at home is crucial for brain development. Early childhood reading enables parents and caregivers to enhance each child's capacity to learn and grow through development into adulthood.
