Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers can help our community in many ways! To view our current volunteer opportunities, click “Sign Up” below.
Buddy Bags
Each week throughout the school year, community volunteers gather to pack and deliver Buddy Bags full of weekend food to local elementary students. More information, including the dates and times for these volunteer opportunities, can be found by clicking the above Sign Up button. We currently pack and deliver Buddy Bags for over 300 students in our community!
Day of Caring
Our United Way connects local corporations and businesses to community agencies quarterly to provide volunteer assistance with their most pressing needs. Whether it is outdoor maintenance, painting, cleanup, making meals, or building out interactive games for children- we provide a plethora of opportunities to help community businesses give back to local non-profits and overall strengthen Howard and Tipton Counties.
Free Tax Prep
United Way’s Free Tax Prep Program helps 700+ families prepare their taxes annually! Volunteers can serve in numerous ways: taxpayer support, tax preparer/quality reviewer, and even as a site coordinator. No previous tax experience is needed and all training is provided free of charge. All volunteers are certified by the IRS.
For more information about volunteering with our Free Tax Prep Program or to sign up, please call us at 765-457-4357 ext. 1004.
